Beautiful animals. Well done.

The photos bring up two questions for me. Those appear to be very old buff, how old are they?

What is the little lever on the side of the H&H sidelock plate? I am a bolt gun guy, and have little experience with doubles. The safety is usually on top. Cocking indicator?

Thanks for your post. Trophy photos help stir the imagination while I am waiting for the next hunt to get here.

Farbedo

I might get punished for guessing age on AR but my true opinion is that both bulls are over 12 years of age and the Wide one probably closer to 14,

We have tried to hunt him for the last 3 years with no sucsess, just to bloody clever,

I will post a photo of him before he broke his one hook off last year,

Regards

JK

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

Nice old Kakuli bulls with tons of character.

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
