Another vote for Wayne Clark with Adam Clements Safari trackers. Great PH, awesome driver (see my hunting report), good taste in music, and a fun guy to be around.

We've been to Africa 3 times and if we get to go back our plans are to hunt with Vaughan Fulton, he is the best PH we've had.

Another vote for

Rodie Tourle of Dumela safaris Zim. Wickes Groenwald and Clinton Van Tonder of Tanzania and South Africa. The PH's on the Boddington on buffalo seemed to fire immediately after the client without determining how effective the client's shot was except when Craig was the shooter and they weren't even armed. They seemed like O.K. guys and I've always liked Craig so it's just an observation.

I've been limited to "inexpensive" trips and so have not hunted with big name fellas. In RSA I went with Mafigeni with Gerry van Zyl as the PH. Went to Tanzania and hunted with Paul Horsley and Adam Clements Safaris. Both companies treated me well. Every safari has a few problems ... remember this is Africa, after all ... but both worked hard to make things easy.

Both PHs were superb. Very professional and they hunted hard but took into account my abilities.

Would be delighted to hunt with either again.

Had breakfast with Steve (Shakari) Robinson while in Dar. Would love to go hunting with him!

Both are terrific blokes.

Peter Harris is a TRUE gentleman, an ecologist and he also studied theology for many years to become a Lutheran Minister. He served as a Kaptein in the SA Police for many years as well.

Mike Kibble was originally from Zimbabwe and served for 4 years in Angola, best sense of humour and the most decent PH, I've come across.

The last thing I want is a PH who lacks judgment.

I have personally hunted with Alan Shearing of Charlton McCallum Safaris in Zim. He is excellent. I shared camp with Myles McCallum and he seemed excellent as well. Buzz Charlton is very respected as well.

I hear many good things about Vaughan Fulton among others.

Zim - Leopard - Norman Crooks is the man for cats.
Namabia - Vaughan Fulton - even though I didn' get my Leopard.
RSA - Mark De Wet and Gary Tonks (Iam not sure if Gary is still hunting) in the Eastern Cape.
I have hunted with others I won't mention.
I did share a camp in Zim with Wayne Bartlett and he was a good guy around the camp fire sharing the days events.

Hi, is that you, Lee?
I really enjoyed meeting with you and your lovely bride at the Charlton McCallum camp with Alan Shearing. You chose a good outfitter and PH and I endorse your comment.

Chris Lordan, Africa Sporting Hunting Safaris

Chris was terrific on my wife and my first safari in RSA. He took into account each of our individual abilities, physical limitations, and desires and worked very, very hard to make our safari a tremendous success. He also has a very calm demeanor, which in turn, keeps the client calm as he/she prepares to take a shot at the trophy of a lifetime!

I just finished 21 days with Neil Duckworth. He is a driven PH and never gives up. This guy will get you your trophies if there is any possibility. He also was a good companion even considering our nearly 30 years difference in age.

On my one and only safari just recently completed, I was very impressed with and I highly recommend Gary Duckworth of Mokore Safari's.

I found Gary to be a conservative and careful trophy judge. Gary consistently advised me to not shoot what he considered lesser trophies, and when he did advise me to shoot, the game usually turned out to be larger than his estimation.

Having just spent 10 days with Gary, I can't wait to go back and hunt with him again.
