When I was in C S before, Nigel Theisen was my PH. He also booked the hunt and outfitted it. Nigel was hunting for Luke in Tanzania then but we went before the season opened in Tanzania. Nigel hunts for Brittingham in Tanzania now but also free-lance hunts as well. Nigel was born and raised in Rhodesia. One of his best and life-long friends is Paddy Curtis. Wessels mentions him in his book "Strange Tales from the African Bush" when talking about hunting in the Valley. His folks live in Kwe-Kwe. He used to have a house there as well but has since moved to Bulawayo. Nigel's mentor (Mike was first name can't remember his last) was killed by ele in Chewore South right up next to the hills on the SouthWest corner I believe. Nigel built the Angua camp I believe.

Nigel and I are very close friends and the only way I would hunt with anyone else was if he suggested it. My father and John Rosenfel hit off very well and became friends.

Well then, have Nigel set up and PH the hunt!

I have learned alot about the people on this forum by reading threads like this.

This time I decided I have to meet this Fulson at one of the shows, because I have met Craig B and for the life of me I can't see how they get along.

Are the new "keepers" keeping up John's wonderful vegetable garden in the Chenjie Camp?

Just returned last night from buffalo/tuskless hunt at Chenje with Chifuti Safaris and PH's Dirk Mostert and Roy Ludick. Camp is managed by Colin and Dyllis Taylor now. The tents are right there off the river, with wildlife wandering thru all night. Heard lions, leopard, hyena, and eles all the time.

The garden is doing well, except for the stuff that made it to our table! We did put away the veggies with all their wonderful food. Smiler

I'll try to get some pictures downloaded today and post a report separately this evening.

Dear SG
Looking forward to meeting you. And by the way, Boddington and I get along just fine, except for the times we are thinking about killing each other.
Cheers

Dave,

Hope to see you at Reno. I will likely be cruising for a Elephant Bull hunt (Bots or Zim). Will you have most of your PHs in attendance?

And I thought about this thread several times while there. But by the time I asked what was being said the die was already cast.
