I had some of the same problems when posting some pictures of my recent safari on Hunt101.

If your pictures are too large you can always put them in some type of photo editor and compress the size of the pictures themselves.

What I like to do and if you have access, is use Microsoft PowerPoint. You can isert the picture and then choose the option that says "compress picture". Then just resave it. It won't change the picture in any form, it just compresses the picture file size.

Good luck and would be glad to help in any way.

All I see are little boxes with "X"s in them. Gary T.

All I see is the box too. Maybe they don't allow outside links? Let me try:

Dang it! It works in the "preview" field, but not in the actual post. We need a pro

By the way, those are some nice animals. That's a beautiful sable. Someday, someday...

Okay, how about Photobucket. I had to put the sable because that's my favorite:

Well, that shows up on mine, anybody else???

I was able to view them by right clicking on the boxes with the x and selecting properties, then highlighting the address and copy and paste on the address bar at the top of my screen. Now they come up on the link. Beautiful animals and congratulations on a great trip.

Thanks for your feedback something is not right, but I don't know how to fix it. The Photobucket came through fine but I don't know how you did it. Perhaps I could try that if you can let me know how.

I finally got it straight using Sony's Image Station as I posted. That site seems to be able to take your picture and put it in the right format. Sorry for all the confusion. Now I will have to take some more animals so I can use my new found posting skills.

Well, about half are showing up for me now. I think there's something going on with ImageStation. I started having trouble with them and switched to PhotoBucket. It's very simple to use their service, just register and start creating albums. It looks like you have it now though.

Again, wonderful animals!

When I switched the pictures over to Image Station they appeared to load just fine, now, as you, I am only getting half of them to load. I will check into Photobucket.

Thanks for the comments, I am very proud of the trophies. For those of you trying to post pictures, I had difficulty until I finally used Photobucket. Hunt 101 had size problems, Image Station had difficulty posting all images but Photobucket, thanks to DesertRam, worked very well did not have to change size of pictures and was very easy to use.

That seems to work dandy. Again, those are some great trophies. I'm just a little envious of that sable, as I think they are one of the most beautiful of the antelope (a close second to kudu IMHO).

Thanks again for your help, I will use Photobucket from now on. I wish you could have seen the sable standing on the opposite hill from us before I shot him. Regal is the best term I can think of to describe him, that arched neck was beautiful. As much as I wanted a Kudu and I have a very nice SCI gold medal one, that sable may move ahead of him in trophy comparison. I am considering putting him on a pedestal mount with some panels of back skins on the base so everyone can get a good look at him.

You know, I think most of the African antelopes (probably most game in the world) look "better" on the hoof than in a hero shot. My dad and I try to explain to people here just how a kudu bull looks when he's standing there giving you the eye. Much like a big bull elk, you just have to see it to believe it. I've never seen a sable in the wild, so I can't compare; I'll take your word for it that he's a better trophy than your kudu. Beautiful animal, that's for sure.

Your pictures came up loud and clear on my computer. Sounds like some people may need to bust loose with a little cash to upgrade their personal IT Department.
