Professional Hunter : Andrew Baldry
September 9th - 21st 2017
Rifles : 330 Dakota 76 , Jarrett PH 416RM

After my successful Lion safari with Andrew in Nyakolwe (Luangwa) last year I returned to hunt Andrews Royal Kafue concession.

I had a great safari here in 2012 taking a magnificent Sable, Southern Roan , Lichtenstein Hartebeest and Buffalo and was very much looking forward to returning once again.

This time I had my friend and long time hunting mate Peter Mayall (also AR member) with me. I had convinced Peter to join me as he was keen to hunt Sable an Roan.

Last year around the campfire celebrating our Lion , Andrew had asked me what I wanted to hunt next and I quickly replied Leopard as I have never hunted Leopard before.

Darin Nelson had booked to hunt Lion with Andrew at Royal (already reported) and we planned that Peter and I arrived a couple of days early so we could spend time with Darin in camp. We had a fantastic few days and were very privileged to share Darin's birthday with her.

Peter and I had a superb safari and once again Andrew demonstrated that he is one of Africa's premier PH's whose community involvement, conservation and game management serves as a model that delivers proven benefits and results.

Everything died to one shot with no tracking required.
I will let the pictures do the talking ...but from the bottom of my heart thank Mr Baldry for helping me (and Peter) fulfil our dreams.......Looking forward to next year mate.

Steve;

I see you and Peter carried on quite well after I left!!

Congratulations on a huge leopard and Peter's sable is fantastic. The other trophies are very impressive as well.

Thanks for sharing my birthday safari! I didn't think Andrew would survive the night you arrived in camp!

Now you need to go back ASAP and get that lion I left behind!

Hugs, Darin

Impressive cat and all-around good trophy bag. Well done.

He is now very glad I convinced him to come with me.

Great trophies and photos. Congratulations.

The hunting imperative was part of every man's soul; some denied or suppressed it, others diverted it into less blatantly violent avenues of expression, wielding clubs on the golf course or racquets on the court, substituting a little white ball for the prey of flesh and blood.

Great report! I don't know why, but the Jarret Rifle (at least I think that's it) with the spacer to add LOP, really speaks to me.
