Glad you enjoyed your hunt with them. Apparently you hunt with Fred as your PH. I hunted with them in 02, the trophy size was good, but the Trudia property left a bit to be desired i e accomadations and board. When we traveled from the south to the north Fred wanted us to take a truck I didn't thing would make it from the ranch to Keetmanshoop let alone to Trudia. It finally got worked out but only after much haggeling.

Ed, I hunted Trudia first then travelled south to Daweb. I thought the accomodations were just fine, the meals superb. I did have a transport problem but not anyone's fault except a careless woman who ran a stop sign coming into Okakandja. We broadsided her little puddlejumper with Fred's Mitsibushi Colt SUV. Unfortunately, our radiator was punctured, among other damages, and we couldn't continue. We transferred into one of his PH's (Terrence Salzwedel) Toyota Hi-lux. The back seat is only fit for small children and I suffered all the way but we did eventually make camp after about 14 hours on the road.

Welcome to the AR forums, BigGuy. No, only the largest is getting mounted. The other 5 pairs of springbok horns plus the horns from a smaller kudu and gemsbok will be made into a chandelier for my Africa room. Ed...I filled my water jug half full and placed it in the chest freezer overnite. Before we went out to the bush each morning Celeste poured chilled water to top it up. I had ice water all day long and it was well into the 90's each day. But the low humidity seemed to pull the moisture from every pore in my body. I was quite eager to enjoy the chilly temps of the south camp for the second half of my safari. I always say that you can put on more clothes to stay warm but you can't take off enough to keep cool.

Truly a gorgeous Kudu! Are you planning on displaying the springboks together in a pedestal arrangement?

That kudu is the animal of a lifetime. Not only because of the length, but the spread and beautiful shape to the horns... BTW, that must have been some neat shooting to crop all those springbok together, or is this the result of several stalks and shots?

Well done and congratulations. That is a really nice kudu. He's wide and heavy. You'll have a hard time finding anything any better. Regards, Terry
