I just wanted to thank everyone for there advice, I had a great time in South Africa with Tumuga Hunting. The flight might have been long but it was well worth it, now I just have to figure out how and when I can get back. I got 8 animals on this trip a Kudu, Gemsbok, Wildebeest, Impala, blesbok, 2 Warthogs, and a Jackal. To anyone thinking of going to Africa all I can say is DO IT you wont regret it.

We just returned from our first trip as well. It was only a week now, but feels like a year. I can't wait to go back. All of the other hunting I have done falls way short by comparison.

You clearly had wonderful success on the trophy quest! My blood is pumping again and next Sept can't come soon enough. In the mean-time, can you share a few stories?
Congratulations
Gary

Thank You gents, and yes Gary I had a great time, what can I say that has not already been said by others. I have drank from the well of Africa and I will never be the same, the outfitter Tamuga Hunting Safaris is a family owned and operated and they treat you like you are one of the family. Located in the Limpopo Prov. and on the Limpopo river you have a wide verity of game to choose from as well as picture taking. I went at the end of June begining of July and the weather was perfect, mid thirties in the morning and warming up to seventy inthe afternoon with no humidity and that was great as I am from south Florida. We used the spot and stalk method of hunting witch I like because you never know what you might see, I still cant get over how good the trackers eyes are they can see game you and I would never be able to spot.
I dont know witch animal to tell about because they are all memorable to me, but I guess the Wildebeest was the hardest to get, to many eyes looking around all the time and never standing still long enough to get a clear shot, but after Three days of hard work we got him, a quartering away shot at 150 yards that completely passed through the animal, God I love my 35 Whelen with 225gr Barnes tripple shock bullets, the PH's nicknamed my gun the howitzer.
Well thats all I have time for right now, and I will repeat my self if you are thinking of going to Africa JUST DO IT.

Craven Big Grin
