First a BIG thanks to Kathi of Wild Travels for a flauless trip! Great job Kathi!!
We flew with SAA on an Airbus and it was long but very confortable. My son and I had four seats between us and had plenty of room, and another of my party had all four!
We bow hunted for 10 days, but most were finished after 8 and had time to play.
We took a total of 45 animals plus several culls. The G5 Montec heads did very well.
Here are a few:
My nyala was number one on the list for this trip and was the first kill.

My zebra was another animal I wanted this trip:

This 4 1/2 inch duiker was a bonus:

One can never shoot to many warthogs:

Nor to many impala. I also took a female and plan on mouting the pair together:

My son took this nice 54+ kudu, a big bull blue wildebeest, two impala, one 25+ and a wonderful bushbuck:

I was on the hunt for this BIG bull girraffe and have it all on video. What a great animal and I am looking forward to mounting a shoulder mount.

The group also killed blesbok, gemsbok and waterbuck.
GREAT trip and looking forward to the next!

We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a President, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!!! That giraffe bull has gorgeous color! Where did you place the arrow on him and how many pounds are you pulling?

Thanks y'all!
ROSCOE, the zebra was taken at 18 yards with a Mathews Switchback at 67 pounds using CE Maxima with a 100 grain G5 Montec. The head passed thru both shoulders taking out both lungs. He fell within 60 yards. His color is a real surprise.... I LOVE it! I, nor anyone else had seen one like this guy. I figure he may lighten up some when washed but he is very unusual.
Scottyboy, it will take me awhile to get the video downloaded and edited, but will get it up.
Ann, the first shot was using 80 pounds shooting a Grizzley Stick arrow with a 200 grain Genitic Silver Flame head, for around 900 grain arrow. It was a 43 yard frontal shot high in the chest just off center, taking out a artery. He had a steady stream spraying 12 inches!! 15 minutes later,a second shot hit him broadside behind the shoulder at 20 yards followed seconds later by a third close to the second shot.
He was estimated at 17 or 18 years old. The meat was sold to a guy raising lions. He told us that out of more than a 100 giraffe, this was the biggest and he estimated the live weight to be 4500 pounds???

Bo-n-aro, How did you like the grizzly stik, silver flame combination?

Dr.C... I did not shoot the giraffe, but a friend of mine did. He was very happy with them and from what I saw, and videod, they performed very well. They should do fine for your buff hunt.
They do have feathers and I am not a fan of feathers due to the noise they can make when they brush up against something.
They sure are good looking arrows, thats for sure!

It is being updated so things are a bit dated.
You can email me if you need any details. Thanks for asking.

Thanks for posting. I looked at your website and I really like your mallard. Birds often look a little awkward, but you got the lines in that perfectly from what I can see.
