Peter, Thanks for your greetings, hope you're having a good season and everything's going well for you. On the subject of wingshooting. I did a hunt in Botswana a couple of months ago, and as some of you may know Botswana has a BIG quelea problem. They're the most numerous bird population in Africa and are regarded as a VERY serious problem by the farmers as they can hammer the crops so badly. Anyway, we wanted some quelea to use for bait, so I asked to client to let off a barrel at a quelea flock......result was 123 birds with one barrel.......a lot of them had just committed suicide by impaling themselves on the thorn trees rather than getting hit by shot. Boy did we have some GREAT fishing!!!!. Only problem was that some of the catfish were really too big for the rods I'd taken up there. Next time, I'm going to take my uptide casters and shark traces for the big boys. | ||
