Good footage and what looks to be some tough country. Great Eland taken.

Dave, tell me a bit more about the rest on the sticks which I see in some of your film. Looks really steady and would be well suited for long shots.

What rifle was the gentleman shooting? .338 Lapua? Whatever it was it smacked that eland bull.

And agree with Andrew... beautiful country.

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
- Rudyard Kipling

Life grows grim without senseless indulgence.

Yes it was a 338 lapua.
Andrew those sticks are the invention of my PH.
We tend to have to make 200-250 yard shots in our open terrain so we practice often on the sticks at the range etc.

He's taken trigger sticks and modified a channel with a screw in adaptor that screws into the top of the trigger stix.
