Folks, We have just completed our Sitatunga season here in Uganda so I wanted to share some trophy snaps and a brief report on our season in the PiaNupe Wildlife reserve in general. Pictures of Sitatunga (ours are East African) are probably one of the least frequently posted images on any hunters website or magazine. Rare indeed, and one of the most sought after of the spiral horned antelope, we are very blessed to have permanent swamps within the reserve that consistently give rise to top class trophies. The four Sitatunga in these images are all over 26 inches. Three, if entered, would comfortably be in the world top 20. All 4 were taken on day one or two of the hunt. My staff and I scouted and sloshed around swamps for two years, we watched, we waited, we did the hard yards. As a result our machans are in the right places, there's no guess work, and these are the results. Very satisfying! We only offer 4 tags a season, which goes a long way to maintaining the high quality of trophy we take. Overall we've had another great season, I don't believe a single client left us disappointed in any way. Bushbuck can always be tough and this is the only species we could not get for every client. Other species we hunted included: Jackson's Hartebeest, Defassa Waterbuck, Paterson's Eland, Nile and East African Bushbuck (we got 1 of each), Guenther's Dik-dik, Eastern Bohor Reedbuck, Chanlers Mountain Reedbuck, Oribi, East African Duiker and East African White-faced Bush-pig. I would love to post more pictures of these species, but it's such a mission - in fact my IT minded son did it for me! If anyone would like to see more, please pm me here and I'll oblige by old fashioned email, etc. A very big thank you to the good people who trusted us with their Uganda hunting this year. Well done. Some damn fine trophies! On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died. Thanks all, for nice comments. I think the important factor is, if you zoom up the pics, there's no doubt these are all older bulls. Given that they range between 26.5" and 29-and-little, anyone care up try get them right in order of score? Tough one for sure!

Sorry, Tigerfish, taken me a while to reply. Nice try, here is the correct order: 2 3 4 1, with 2 being biggest as per your guesstimates. Thanks for taking the time to give it a whirl! Important thing though is AGE. They're all grand old fellows, genes spread and their work done for following generations...
