What a great adventure!! It is good to see anti-poaching efforts pay off.

I have always said we should support the good guys in Zimbabwe, the ones doing the right thing. CM Safaris is certainly one in that group.

Congratulation's larry, I don't see how anyone could wish for a better trip than that.

I have walked in the foot prints of the elephant, listened to lion roar and met the buffalo on his turf. I shall never be the same.

Thanks everyone.

I have been filming my hunts since 2009. Murray was not available at the last minute. I decided to not film. I really wish I had filmed. So many amazing moments .

Larry, Another great adventure with a narration second to none. You came through smiling and unscathed with some close calls. What a great film it would have made.Your videos are up there with the best, many thanks...jc

Some people inquired about the failure of the Docter Optic which I disclosed in the report. Mine were returned to the factory. These were just received back at the gun shop yesterday.

The bottom line is that there was a problem with a small item in the electronics. The factory people were concerned. They said this has happened before but it is extremely rare.

They "rebuilt" both DO units that were sent to them. They also performed a procedure which they referred to as "shock proofing." If I understand correctly, after the rebuild, they fill the unit with silicon. This is guaranteed to prevent a re-occurrence for a period of 5 years.

Another awesome trip Larry!

Great story and pics. One buff looks really big!

I went through Bulawayo in Sep, and declared about $9K USD, without any problems. I didn't have to show them any money or anything.

When I was leaving the country, they did count the number of cartridges I had fired.

Larry, Lex Webernick (Rifles Inc) should pay you commissions. That 416 is getting quite a bit of press!

I have whacked a lot of elephants and buff with that gun, not to mention assorted lions, leopard and PG. One of the best guns I have ever had.

Larry,

Biebs should have handed over to you a Blaser safari rifle to test the quality for the next 10 years of safari ...
