I did a bit of hunting on Huntshoek while the previous owner was still alive. If I remember correctly, the water pressure there runs at about 8 bars. You really did not need soap, it felt as though you were being bead blasted. I just love that Valley Bushveld.
A big problem with the bushpig is that since the introduction of warthog, the bushpig have taken a big knock and on some properties, they have not been seen for the last twenty odd years.
A good hunt, well told, with some memorable trophies.
Well done with the bushbuck. tu2
I know that it is a difficult thing to do, but the right thing to do is tell the cops to piss off, but maybe you could write a letter to the Minister of Police and tell him that his wankers are scroungers.

Nice report. Bush pig hunting is interesting. I know guys who have gone on several safaris and not got one. Others the first hour the first night. I guess that is why it is hunting and not killing. Thanks for sharing.

Grum,

I'm having a pretty hectic day but when I saw the "Rest of the Story" was in print; I snatched my luke-warm cup of Coffee, a smoke and decided to sit down for a few minutes and have a relaxing read ..... if that's what you wanted to offer us - it worked perfectly.

Thank You!

Great stuff, a really entertaining story, you told it well and the photos compliment it.

My favorite Boomer at the moment is also a Blaser R93 with the 300 Witherbee barrel attached, Zeiss 3-12x56 (Yes, Martha, I want a Huble Telescope with that much weight on it), Kick-Stop in the Buttstock and Vias SS Muzzle Brake; very mild & tame.

I wanted to meet Marius Goosen of KMG Hunting Safaris at the Jagd & Hund Convention in Dortmund last month. Instead, we got sidetracked by Jannie & Bollie of Gras Ranch who offered us copious amounts of alcoholic beverages to stay in their Booth so it would appear as though they actually had interested Clients ..... shame on me for having missed the opportunity to meet Marius.

Waidmannsheil!

Cheers,

Number 10
