As you know, I am a member of that club. One of my buddies brought this by my office yesterday and I thought I would share with AR.

That's Butch, and it's his story....a scary one at that.

Looks like it all ended well. The bull's dead and Butch is not, albeit somewhat bloodied. Sounds like there's a story there.

Great photo.

I put a bullet in exactly the same spot as the lower hole on that Buff but in a Scrub Bull
at 8 yards. I thought I was a goner !

Butch, you should send that in to DSC with your report and this pic. It would make a great story and probably open a few eyes to why it's called "dangerous game." Cheers, David

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

Yes, without a bit of luck and brawn, the positions of the hunter and prey could certainly have been reversed in the photo :-0

That Butch is real good people. I'm glad he's tougher than a cape buff and a heluva lot funnier too.

BTW, Butch, aren't you Ngamo Sikumi bound almost immediately? If so, good hunting my friend.

Will,

Just got back, 38" Sable and a Wildebeest. Hunted hard for an over 40" Sable, rolled a lot of miles, quite a few trackings, but no enchilada, held out so long that I didn't leave myself time to chase Eland. Lots of Sable, a beautiful animal, but no monsters.
