I've not hunted with Joof, but I have talked with him a lot. We were almost to the point of booking a hunt with him, until he raised his prices. No doubt he has a good reputation in Namibia, but we decided that it was just too high for us. We just booked our first safari to Namibia with Dirk Rohrman of Okanduka Seibe in late June early July 2007. I found out about him here on the AR forum and contacted several references. Nobody had anything negative to say about their hunts. You simply cannot beat his prices, he is just downright cheap but he has great trophy quality. Visit his website: Okanduka Seibe and check out some of the photos and his prices. You can also visit the page here on the AR forum of Robert Johnson's hunt with Dirk: Robert Johnson's Namibia Hunt We wanted to center our safari around BIG Kudu and Dirk has them. Hope this helps.

ES, I have talked to Joof Jr. for about 3 years in a row and he seems to be a great guy. I went to RSA last year with another outfit, I collected some great trophies but hade some personal problems with my P.H.
I would like to goto Namibia next, maybe in a couple of years, and he seemed like a person that I would like to spend 14 days with.
I also talked to Erindi safaris and they seem great as well, but I kind of hit it off with Joof Jr. I'm not totally set on him so I would look at others as well. Any more help would be great, thanks.............wapiti7

If you like the looks of Namibia take a look at this site. I was at Gras in May of 2005. Fantastic trophies, fantastic scenery, very friendly people, and great prices.

Errol Lambrechts is the PH and I believe he will be at Reno and Dallas.

This is the contact for another outfit in Namibia.I have hunted with Antonie twice now and have another trip scheduled for this coming August.

Great rates, great trophies and great folks to hunt with.

Namibia is the best bargain in hunting in southern Africa at this time.

We seldom get to choose
But I've seen them go both ways
And I would rather go out in a blaze of glory
Than to slowly rot away!

wapiti7,

I hunted with Joof Sr. (Jr. was just getting his license) in '03.

Feel free to email if you would like details. khamann@boaring.com

We took some good animals and he had a fine lodging situation.

As I mentioned, send me an email and I'll fill you in on the details of the experience.

Kyler
