I Just completed a 6 day 2;1 buff hunt on Munya with Zaheed and Irfan Omar from Lusaka, both frequent visitors of this forum.
Zaheed bought a VC 600 NE last year. They normally hunt on resident licenses in Zambia but because of the hunting ban this was no longer possible. Zaheed then approached me in order to baptize his new canon on buffalo. And a canon it is!!
So he booked 2 buff’s one for him and one for his brother Irfan. I explained that getting two buffalo in 6 days on Munyamadzi is ambitious but worth a shot.

We hunted hard and got some great experiences getting very close to buffalo every morning and evening.

On the third afternoon Irfan connected on this fine 41’’ buff at 75 yards with his custom CZ 416. The Buff dropped in his tracks!

Then it was Zaheed’s turn with his 600. This became more of a mission. Conditions were hard with temperatures exceeding 45 C
We wanted to get closer than 50 yards and the wind was constantly an issue.
Finally on the sixth morning everything played in our favor. We got into 35 Yards and the 600 roared. Again a nice buff dropped in his tracks. Because we were using a double we did remember to ask how he wanted to die. But no reply so Zaheed didn’t fuck around.





It has been an absolute pleasure to hunt with these Gentlemen. Not once did they loose their optimism and they enjoyed every bit of it.
