Muchinga Adventures has just started their 1st safari for '24 a 2x2 leopard safari.

One hunter started on day 1 shooting his hippo and hanging baits.

The 2nd hunter took a day to take his Kafue Lechwe and then start his leopard hunt. Same routine, shot a hippo and hung baits.

Zambia allows no pre-baiting or night hunting on the GMA.

Day 6 both cats are taken in the evening.



It usually is that easy!

Johnny told me he's never seen one area with so many buffalo.

Glad to see they have gotten things settled and back to hunting. Having a 45 min. ride into camp will be much better than that LONG ride into their other camp.

Again a great Big 4 area and they are already half way there. I’m sure we will see an elephant and a lion before season is over.

Why is that? I think had to pay 6K classic safari fee or Royal antelope fee or whatever they called it. My Zambia Roan came from Tondwa with Terry.

Quotas are small and normally reserved for cat hunters

Mark I just heard that 2 elephant bulls have been taken in Upper Lupande.

They have taken a second bull elephant in Upper Lupande. They took a 55# in May and have another whose tusks are still in the elephants skull that was taken last week.

There are lots of elephant there. One hunter said he was sure they had seen over 300 elephant on his safari.

Now all they need is a Lion!

The lion is in October and should be a slam dunk.
