Has anyone here hunted Elephant with Peter Thormahlen? He has a good reputation on plains game but also offers Elephant hunts in SA, which seems an odd place to hunt them.

Peter is a well known and reputable outfitter in SA. According to my knowledge he has hunting rights in some of SA's National Game Parks and he would not offer you an elephant hunt in SA if he did not have hunting rights for it.

I have huted with Peter but not for elephants. We did some dangerous game hunting. He is very honest and goes all out all of the time.I would question him about the specifics of where he is going to take you and how big of a bull you are likely to take. He will give you a straight answer. There are some big bulls in the right place. I have been to Africa 11 and a couple of the biggest bulls I have seem were in the RSA.
