Actually we were pretty lucky with the Cruiser. The roads in the OMAY are pretty rough, but we had only one puncture and we did pull the right rear break drum off once to get the sand out of it.
We did play some Elvis and some really good Rock and Roll.
Wayne is a very good hunter, we got along great, I can say the same for the Videographer Ian Lewis, The 3 of us will Safari again for sure.

Greetings from Africa

In regards to the question which country to hunt , all have merits and all have demerits.
I would like to comment on two countries as we have concessions in both : Mozambique and Botswana.

Mozambique offers a wide diversity of Game and habitat to hunt in. It is recovering from the civil war at an alarming rate and is set to become the wonder of Africa it formaly was. Safety and security has returned to one of the best in Africa, this country wants to succeed. From deep sea fishing to Big game Hunting - this country offers it all.
Price wise its still one of the more affordable countries offering big open concession hunting in big game country , but as it returns to its former glory , demand will out weigh supply and so its a good idea to get in now - the hunting is tough and not suited for the hunter who is not a true outdoor sport hunter who revels in the hunting experience. If you do plan a hunt to Mozambique try set aside time to see the coast or one of the islands.
Lion , Leopard, Buffalo , Elephant , Sable , Crocodile , Hippo , Bushbuck , Reedbuck , Nyala, Bushpig , Zebra, Hartebeest, Eland, Wildebeest, Impala, Kudu, Warthog , Baboon , Suni , Red and Grey Duiker, Steenbok, Grysbok , Waterbuck, to name the main species available - this is all in one concession and all are indigenous to these vast open concessions.

Botswana is the most stable country in Africa and is the star of African democracy and peace. This land locked country is home to the Okavango , Kalahari and Chobe areas boasting the best maned Lion and Elephant trophies in all Africa. Leopard and Buffalo are abundant and plains game although limited in diversity is also abundant. The Tourism infrastructure is first class even though this is remote wild Africa. The Government has set aside more land for conservation than any other country in Africa , it has one of the best up and running community conservation programmes , where communities are putting up land for conservation purposes, and it has a policy of low density utilization and high price . So this country is relatively expensive but as all its visitors will tell you worth every dollar/euro. This is quality hunting. As an example our average trophy elephant size for 6 Elephants on quota was 60 pounds for 2004 , with 2 elephants over 70 pounds , unsurpassed quality at the most affordable price in the safest democratic country in Africa.

I cannot comment on other countries as we do not operate in them , other than doing ranch hunts in South Africa.

Happy hunting
Graeme Pollock
