Congrats on some really nice trophies. Looks like lots of fun. I had about the same trip in July, but had the leisure of spending 15 days with friends. The Hartmann's zebra kicked my butt, and I ended up with a wonderful Burchell's. Always leave a reason to go back, I guess!

I got back Sunday from a 7 day plains game hunt with Hannes Duplessis of Bergzight Game Lodge. Hannes met us at the airport and took very good care of us for the rest of the week. We had great accomdations, food, service and of course hunting. The hunting could best be described as spot and stalk with the stalk ranging anywhere from several hundered yards to several miles depending on the animal. I got 8 trophies all of which were gold medal animals, and I cannot say enough about the effort put into this hunt by Hannes, his staff, and family. I got a blesbuck, kudu (55"), springbuck, red hartebeest, blue wildebeest, mountian zebra, black wildebeest, and a baboon. I'll try to figure out how to post PICS when I have more time, but Namibia was great and I would highly recommend it for plains game.

Doc,

I hunted in the general area earlier this year with another PH and acutally stalked my Mt. Zebra on Hannes' property. Hannes has a great property, house and lodge to say the least! Is Whisky still there pouring the drinks?? How about Milo the wonder terrier? He rode along with us the day we hunted at Bergzicht and it was hotter than hell. We never needed him, but he wasn't leaving the zebra or us until we were all in the truck and riding back to the house. He would stand on the rocks with two feet in the air then switch because the rocks were so hot, but he wasn't leaving. That little dude convinced me I need a faithful helper like that!
