Dear Accurate Reloading Friends,

2013 started with our earliest hunt on record. We normally try to start our ele bulls as early as April but Mac Jenkins and I decided that we would risk the rains and getting stuck to hunt the east in Feb/March hoping to surprise a big bull from Moz. The hunting gods smiled on us and in 12 days of hunting we only got wet once and we got an amazing 66 lbs which I think will be the biggest valley elephant this year! We also managed to track up a beautiful sable bull to complete Mac’s safari!

Mac Jenkins:

Mac Jenkins:

Mac's hunt set the trend for the following elephant hunts which have been great successes despite the really thick bush and full pans due to a great rainy season. It looks like CMS will for the 3rd season have the highest elephant average for the Zambezi Valley! Credit must go to the wonderful trackers that our dedicated PHs use for unlike Botswana etc. without trackers you will not even see an elephant -- certainly an ele bull hunt in the Zambezi Valley is the ultimate hunt!

2013 has also been special in that it is the first season that CMS clients can hunt the whole of the Dande North area (500 000 acres) as we bought out our neighbors! We have just started our cat and buffalo hunts and while hard as always is the case early season we have shot some great trophies.

While I felt the standard of our camps were on a par with most hunting camps of the better known operators, the inclusion of Sarah and Richard Tabor on a managerial role has taken them to new heights! We also sent all our cooks in for refresher course with a well known cooking expert here in Zim, who incidentally won 2nd prize in the world cook books of the year 2012! The food has been 2nd to none and much enjoyed by all our clients to date!!

We are all, at CMS looking, forward to all the up and coming safaris. In fact, I will be gone now for the next five weeks hunting. Talk to everyone when I return!

Cheers Buzz Myles and team!

Well done Buzz. Big congrats to the whole CMSafrais gang, and of course to all the clients, who without them none of this would be possible.
I hope the rest of the season continues in the same manner.
Cheers

Congrats and well done Buzz!

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
