Ray, can you give us some details? I was under the impression that Lemco was controlled by HHK Safaris. Is that not true? Who is the minister that has it?

I was in lemco end of may this year, at the samanyanga camp. excellent!!! This would be a perfect place to take your wife as it is an excellent camp with great amenities and staff. the quality and quantity of game is superb. The # of kudu has fallen dramatically however due to the drought last year and the tannin poisining of the bulls, however everybody in camp managed to secure a bull most in the mid 50" range lots of buffalo quite a few lion, more giraffe than you can shake a rifle at and we saw about 8 good sable. We toured many of their camps on the property and they are all very nice.

Hugh, If you are concerned about your wife's comfort and you want to hunt a variety of quality plainsgame in addition to buffalo, you'll have a hard time doing any better than Lemco for a one location safari in Zimbabwe. The numbers and quality of plainsgame are outstanding and the buffalo are thriving. Lemco also has a healthy lion population and enough resident elephant to make things interesting. All of the camps are very nice, if not luxurious. An alternative would be to do your buff hunt in one of the government concessions, then transfer to Lemco for plainsgame. Either way, it is unlikely your wife would have a bad time.
