Just got back from my buffalo hunt with Amanita.
Shot this buffalo at 8:00 AM the second day of the hunt. One 300 grain CEB solid from my .375 did the trick. I would have preferred to take it with my 450/400 double, but the shot was just at a hundred yards, standing face on, in heavy brush. Because of the distance and heavy cover I elected to use the scoped bolt gun.
At any rate, I now have 43 inches of buffalo in the salt. Now I just have to endure the long wait till I get back to have mounted.
