Hunted with Guav Johnson for 10 days in the Kazuma Forest for Cape Buffalo and plains game. Would rate as VERY successful.

Got my buffalo on day 3. Nice old daggaboy, covered in mud and wearing down at the horns.
Took a nice zebra stallion (Burchell's) on day 5.
Shot a very, very old warthog on day 7.

Plains game was hard to spot and stalk due to much heavier than usual rains this year. While dry when we were there, the grass was high and thick and the bush was still very much in foliage.

Saw lion tracks every day, had a pride come through the camp one night, had some of them in a fight by the skinning shed another night, and spotted some on the road one day.

Leopard tracks were also in relative abundance, including a female who kept leaving tracks on top of our vehicle tire marks during the day.

Elephant sign everywhere. Saw ele's three times and there were many more out there that were just obscured by the bush.

Camp meals were outstanding and camp accommodations were very good. Lights, showers, netting over the beds, firepit with snacks and cocktails. All were well done. Things broke of course but each time something quit working, it was fixed that same day. A very well run camp.

Had not hunted Kazuma before but this was my 8th trip with Guav. First rate PH and a pleasure to be around.

Highly recommend hunting with either Guav or Barry Stiles in Kazuma.
