infinitoTerry used Swift A-Frames, Barnes TSX and Hornady's out of his .338 and 7mm remmie.
I'm sure he will post some details for everyone.
Here is a short link to his experience with us.

Terry BlauwkampOK.. thanks to Saeed for posting these pictures for me over the weekend. Now I will try and explain each one.
The first picture is a bottom view L to R :
338 225 TBBC, 338 217 A-Frame, 338 200gr
Hornady Spire Point.( More details below)
The second picture down -- top row--is 6 180 gr TSX from Factory Federal 300 H&H ammo recovered from 6 Blue Wildbeest, (one of the WB pictured below).
Six shots, six WB, and recovered all six bullets. All were broadside or quartering frontal shots, at 150 to 250 yards in the "shoulder"-lungs. All WB ran from 75 to 150 yards before going down.
The two bullets in the middle row:
One on the left is a 338 Win Mag 200 gr Hornady Spire Point also from a straight frontal shot at another WB at 70 yards. This was one of the few times I have had an entrance hole bleed profusely, and he ran only 60 yards before piling up.
The 180 gr TSX on the right, is from a Blesbok at 60 yards, frontal shot, and recovered the bullet in the real ham. Over 36" penetration.
Bottom row:
Bullet on the left, is a 338 Mag 225 gr Federal Factory Bear Claw from a Zebra ( pictured below)
Quartering away at 80 yards, bullet entered in between the last ribs, and passed thru the lungs to the front shoulder on the far side where it was recovered. Gave over 40" of penetration.
The Bullet on the right, is a 338 Mag 217 gr Swift A-Frame from a WB also. 160 yards broadside, in the armpit, and broke the shoulder on the far side where it was recovered.
The picture way at the bottom is closeup of the 225 TBBC and the 217 A-Frame
Picture of the Wart Hog was shot with a 300 H&H 180 gr Hornady Spire Point at almost 200 yards. Also quartering away, and the bullet entered the ribs, and passed thru the lungs and exited perfectly with a 3/4" hole. You can see the exit hole in the picture.
The picture of the two Blesbok: Each was shot wiht the 338 Mag and 200 gr Hornady Spire Points at close to 200 yards. Both were pass thru shots, and both were "Bang-flop".
Last -- but not least--- a picture of our own Charl Van Rooyen from Infinito with a double I shot the first morning.
Both shot with a 338 Mag and 217 gr A-Frames.
The Impala was shot in the lungs, and he ran a ways, and the Hartebeest was in the front shulder and went down at the shot, both dropped within sight of each other. Fredick got video of this hunt and it should be interesting to see.
Swift A-Frames are toated to be a great bullet, but, we found unless a bone was hit going in, expansion was minimal, and game ran too far.
The Hornady's expanded much more, and did a great job of killing, sometimes you could see the blood just pouring out of an exit hole as the animal took off for a very short death run.
One last picture of me and the full moon coming up after a great days hunt.
If you would like a complete story of this hunt, just E-MAIL me so I can reply with it attached.

Thanks for the bullet/hunt report. I take it Charl doesn't do off season work as a jockey?

I would love to see a long distance horse race with you and Charl as the two jockeys

yukon deltaI thought it was interesting that on 6 broadside shots on 6 WB you got no exits.
Thanks for the photos and additional info.

I agree, and not only with the 180 TSX, but with 217 A-Frames and Hornady also, the WB stopped everyone of them.

That would be cruelty to animals and the horses wouldn't appreciate it either.

Terry,
Which bullet did you consider the best overall?
Verbera!, Iugula!, Iugula!!!
Blair.

infinitoBlair,
Terr will answer for himself, but in my humble opinion the Swifts did the best. The have VERY good penetration, and leaves a sizeable hole on the other side to make the blood trail more visible.....something I appreciate a lot in last light.....
Only my 2c's.
Cheers

Terry BlauwkampTerry,
Which bullet did you consider the best overall?[/QUOTE]
Barnes TSX is my first choice. The Swift A-Frames are a fine bullet, but unless you hit a bone going in, expansion can be limited.
And as Charl says, very good penetration, as we only recovered one bullet the entire trip.
