Just a word from the computer at Afton.
Yesterday evening, I rounded the hallway out of customs, saw my name on the Afton sign, was escorted to SAPS, got my permit, got a clean, nice room, ate a great steak, met nice folks, discovered that Afton now has Wi-Fi, drank some good wine, slept well and assume that I'll be taken in plenty of time to the airport to make it to Bulaway.... all of the service with a smile.

Afton Guest House is doing just fine from my present experience.

JudgeG ... just counting time 'til I am again finding balm in Gilead chilled out somewhere in the Selous.

I'm going to be a first time visitor to Afton on April 26/27. Can't wait.

I consider both my stays with Afton house to be a wonderful addition to my Africa Experience and would highly recommend that everyone spend time there. I know I will do as 450 suggested above to stay a second night.
Annelise and Kathy Klimes really saved my bacon when I lost my itinerary and paperwork at the airport. By morning I had all new everything and was set to go.
I know it is not necessary to preach hear to the choir but for those looking at a first time and not knowing what to expect upon arrival it was very gratifying for me afterward knowing that professionals were there to help me satisfy the dreams of a lifetime if only by providing an inviting "Home" for the evening.

Just to confirm a great experience on my end with Afton House. I did not stay there, but did use their rifle permit/meet and greet service for my trip to RSA last week and everything was perfect. My permit was ready and I was out of the SAPS office in no time. I have already recommended the service to another hunter heading there in a few months.

Great to hear that Louis is doing well. Sadly, on my stay with them in 2008, I did not see Louis. He was ill at the time, but Annelise and family were fabluous host. Sure made my second trip to Africa much less stressful and transfer at the airport were a breeze. I will most certainly use their services each time I return.
