NakihunterAmazing trophies.
I am really curious about the first hunters - were they using a Mannlicher Schoenauer rifle? What caliber? Did they shoot the buffalo with that?

PoyntmanVery nice buffalo bulls and some great hunts
That one kudu bull looked a bit different. Withered...lots of striping and light brown.
You all have some of the best bushbuck hunting on the planet still

Yes he was using a Mannlicher Schoenauer that he had borrowed from me. The caliber is 8x68S. I inherited this riffle from my father. The Rifle was a present from his grandfather when he left for Africa.
The Buffalo was shot with a Mauser M03 375 H&H also hired from me.

fairgameYou chaps are doing outstanding work and have invested heavily in depleted and denuded lands converting them into rich wildlife estates. Well done to you all. And a big thanks to all the hunters who have supported you.
I very much looking forward to hunting this area this year and consider these blocks to offer some of the finest safari experiences in Africa.

A classic example of the end-product derived from wildlife conservation managed at the highest level; something which should be noted by the Anti-hunting groups!

NakihunterThanks for the update.
Great to see an old classic still being used in the field.
I am surprised that more such rifles are not seen on the various AR reports.
I have one in 6.5X54 & a take down in 9.5X57MS - I wish I could hunt Africa with them!
I did use a 6.5MS in India once on a beat shoot in the 1980s but did not get to shoot anything with it.

MANDLAZIMWhat a breath of fresh air to read about successful Wildife areas - Thor, well done to you and your team AND to the HUNTERS that ultimately make it all possible!!
If only the greenies, politics, poaching etc would stay out of so many other areas that could also become wildlife havens!!!
(See you got a good taste for cameramen - Andy Mac is one of the best in the business IMO!!!)

MARK H. YOUNGThor,
Just excellent all around! Africa always amazes me in how fast an area comes back with some serious stewardship of the land. Good for you. Some nice trophies there and the photo of the wild dogs is stunning.
