In September we had a few clients take safaris in Zimbabwe.

The handgun hunter pictured below is the one I was referring to on a Post I placed on AR in August.
He was wanting to take buff with a 45-70 handgun and I asked for opinions on AR before booking him. One of the responders to the post was Mike 70560 aka(Two pipe Mike) As luck would have it Mike ended up in camp at Mokore at the same time we were hunting with the handgunner,(also a Mike). He joined in on Pistol Mike's hunt and assisted in finishing off this buff with his double .470 Krieghoff. It's a small world and great to make new friends on Safari.

Tim,

That was a great hunt with you and Mike in camp. There are a couple of things you did not mention. First, Mike Murphy is an excellent shot with that pistol. He understood his pistol, loads, and limitations. The other thing is did he not drop a second buffalo pretty much in its tracks with the handgun?

Mike,
You are absolutely right. Mike did take a second buff with his handgun. Paced out to be a little over ninety yards. One shot through the shoulder and it was dead within twenty yards.
I would have posted these pictures earlier but I've been two months trying to figure out how to post here. I finally gave up and asked my seventeen year old daughter for help. Thirty minutes later and here we are. My technology level peaks with the TV remote.
