I have on good authority that semi-autos are not allowed in Namibia, or any of the african countries.

we're on track to hunt with Vaughan Fulton... I just hear amazing things about his operation!

Terry,

I have enclosed an email and the reply regarding guns of the same caliber going to Namibia through the RSA. The answer is basically not available in a definitive manner.

Dear Mr. Saloom

My apologies for the delayed feedback to your questions. At this stage
there is some confusion surrouding the importation of firearms from
Johannesburg to Windhoek. This is however information that I will still need
to confirm with our police authorities before I can furnish you with
definative details.

I will get back to you as soon as I have the necessary information.
Kind regards

Subject: Rifle importation into Namibia

Dear Sir,

I have questions regarding the importation of rifles for a 8 days of
plains game shooting in Namibia.

Is it permissable to have two rifles of the same calibre?

Do guns accompanying passengers that make a connection in Johannesburg
have to recheck their guns before boarding a flight to Windhoek? If
they do recheck their guns, do the guns have to conform to South
African laws (no two guns of the same calibre)?

Thank you for your assistance.

Yours sincerely,

Richard Saloom
