I haven't hunted any of the small African cats, but am interested in what species is being referred to on websites for Namibian hunting farms as "African Wildcat". It is apparently different from the Caracal.

Try going up www.bornhunt.co.za and look at their web site. One of the first pictures is a man an woman behind two Caracals. They advertise they hunt them with dogs. Then go to their picture album and the top row in the middle is a guy holding a cat. I think that might be a wild cat. I am no expert. I would also like to shoot a Caracal. Saw one at night on my last trip over but was too slow getting the gun unpacked. Their price for Caracal is $700 and wild cats is $100 so I am sure they are different. It sounds like they hunt Caracal and shoot wild cats. Hope this helps.
