Congratulations on your success. Did you and your dad hunt 2 X 1? I spoke with Vaughan yesterday, putting some final touches on our hunt next May. I'm really looking forward to it. He sounds like a real class act.
Mike, my dad and I did hunt 2X1. I think it put a little pressure on Vaughan to try for all of the animals we wanted. We tried to stay flexible and go with the flow. We didn't shoot everything on our wish list, but I went over there knowing that I was being very optimistic, so it was easy to scratch the "lesser" animals.
If only that pesky lion had shown his head while I was there. We waited for the call, but it never came. Apparently there's a nine year old male with a full mane (Vaughan said very full and quite nice) living in Etosha and sneaking out for regular cattle snacks. We didn't get lucky, maybe one of you will.

I am glad to see everyone interested in Vaughan's hunts. We will all have a wonderful time. I talked to Vaughan this afternoon and problem lions are all over the place. One of us just need a little luck and we will take a super lion!!

DesertRam, Congratulations on some fine trophies. Namibia is a great hunting country! You're 17" springbok is an excellent head. I am glad to see you hunting with your Dad. My pop has joined me on three of my safaris and he has thoroughly enjoyed himself on every one! We are headed for Zim in three weeks to chase elephant. Congrats again on a great hunt!
Glad to hear you had a great time. I am set to hunt with Vaughan next May - my first. Vaughan has been so helpful, answering all my questions and giving me some tips. Also Mike and others have been great in giving me some advice. I would be interested in seeing your pictures as soon as you can post them.

Maybe that Lion will continue to be pesky for another 10 weeks. I think I am Vaughan's last hunt this year I was lucky to get one of his Leopard permits so that is top priorty. Is the consession north of Kamanjab? Or is it between Otjikono and Kamanjab? Is the electricity provided by generator? Can one recharge camera batteries? One other question are you south of the Gila?

Just got this hard copy scanned. Here is a picture of the impala my dad shot at Farm Felseneck. In the picture with him is Helgaard, the Farm Manager and PH.
