I am wondering if anyone has experience with Savannah Safaris Namibia / Henk Fourie. Doing some research on their main camp out of Windhoek and mainly trying to gather info on the Torra Conservancy. Any information anyone can pass along would be appreciated.

Looking at a Plains Game hunt down the road. At the conservancy, Kudu, Oryx, Springbuck, Ostrich, Mtn Zebra, etc.

At the main camp. Red Hartebeest, Warthog, Blesbok, Blue and Black Wildebeest.

I hear their trophy quality is exceptional; especially at the Torra and I know they operate quite a small operation from what I have gathered.

Any information in this regard would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I don't know about Savannah, but check out Joof Lamprecht at Hunters Namibia Safaris, I hunted there twice & would have no trouble going again. Absolute top rate operation.

LJ,
Met Henk a few weeks ago, seems like a good guy. Kevin Robertson has partnered up with him and the Torra looks spectacular.
A friend of mine took a 19" springbuck there last year, Kevin can't say enough good things about Torra. Hope this helps.

I operated hunts from Huab Conservancy which borders Torra. You will have the opportunity at great trophies that is for sure.
Your problem will be that the hunting experience in such a Desert area as Torra, will never be able to be topped again! And for that I give my word!!! I have many clients that hunted with me in Huab, Sorris-Sorris & Dorro-Nawas Conservancies to confirm this.
The animals are nomads and every season the animals are in different parts of the concession. Hunting is HARD, many hot miles have to be driven in a 4x4 over very bumpy roads to find the animals. Spending allot of time on rocky ledges glassing the seemingly endless gravel plains, river beds and ridges. Once you have located them the hunt is on! Spotting animals at great distances and stalking sometimes for hours to get into a shooting position. These areas are so big that it does not really matter how / where the rains came down during the rainy season, you will always have enough animals to hunt for in part of the area.
It is a great hunting experience in an exceptional unique landscape!!!

This hunt will not be a gathering of dead animals / 2 trophies before breakfast, you will earn your animals.

I am not affiliated with Henk Fourie, Savannah Safaris in any way. I have had a Whiskey with Henk on the odd occasion. They have a reputation to produce what they promise and Henk is a pleasant guy to be around.

Take this opportunity!!!!

You can believe Hentie. He's one of the good guys. My son and I hunted with him a few years ago.
(Hentie, good to see you posting here. Good luck Buddy.) Do you recognize my avatar pic? T.J.
