404,

Congrats on the success and hunting with family is special. My brother hunted with dad and I a few times but is not his style. He is not anti loves to eat deer and is always trying to bum some. Looks like a great time was had. I read your new tag line and chuckled, not sure if you been in NC lately but the drought here is burning us up every thing is brown. Did get some nice rain this weekend though.

Did he eat the zebra raw? Big Grin

Kidding aside, good job. Sometimes, one good, positive exposure is all it takes. thumb

Well done. Glad he joined you and even happier you had a great hunt.

When my 21 yr old daughter started up with us about killing such pretty animals as she ate her hamburger we pointed out how many locals would get meat they otherwise couldn't afford. Told her those animals ran free all their lives and her hamburger spent most of it's life in a feed lot.

As usual just my $.02

Yeah, the whole mentality is a little funny. A very good friend of mine still says meat is murder. Of course she says it while making whimpering sounds of gastronomic ecstacy over my fresh-grilled venison backstraps! The human mind is an interesting thing.

Good work! I try to tell people the benefits of sustainabel hunting as well.. In most cases around the world, hunting saves the wildlife.. Most people I talk to about this becomes much less sceptical to hunting animals they refer to as "endangered".. Smiler

Looks and sounds like a good hunt in more ways than one. Good luck on the other brothers.

You know, I am not at all sure that your brother is
far off-base about us doing our own tracking, etc. I usually say that all I contribute to the hunt is the money and pulling the trigger. Hell, I usually have trouble even seeing the critters without them being pointed out to me.
