This will make a Sable hunters jaw drop!

While hunting Roan this morning, a friend and client of mine found this amazing Sable. He couldn't pass it up, and who could blame him!

Over 48" on each side with 11 x 10 6/8" bases. I'm still shaking my head. In 3 years I never saw this bull.

Thanks fella's. This is day one of his 15 day hunt. I can't imagine it getting any better but for sure Gillettehunter, he's on a roll.
We have a number of breeder Sable and they are protected and sport ears tags; nice bright ones, but I've seen good bulls before, out on the plains, in the thorns and mountains. One of my guys took a 44 inch bull with me last year slipping through the thorns.
We have areas back in the mountains where it would take an expedition to hunt properly and I've suggested we arrive by helicopter for an "on the fly" hunt but the boss thinks not....yet, and we have a helicopter. I'm still working on that plan.

IH, green score it would be #10 but after the waiting period (shrinkage) I'd say it might net top 20. Don't think he's looking to any record book other than to enjoy the animal, but he is grateful to all congrats and appreciates all of your comments, thank you.

Thanks fella's wasn't mine, just a client's. We're hoping to have some bulls break 50 inches in the coming years, maybe next year but the hunting isn't over until mid December. Someone might get lucky.
