Client Denny Adelung of Houston, Texas with PH Neil Duckworth hunting for elephant in Sengwa Research Area, Zimbabwe.

On the 22nd of Feb, Denny and I started the trek from Harare to our new concession, Sengwa. After driving through rain and new green bush we arrived in camp. To be honest I was quite nervous about how the hunt would take go, my trackers (still in off-season mode) said they could not make the hunt which left Denny and myself to it on our own without my trusty set of "Shangaan Expert Eyes/Six Sense," at my side. The hunt was booked as a 12 day hunt, but we lucked out and were successful in bagging a beautiful 62lb on the second day of the safari. Denny made a good shot and the ele went down quickly. We spent the next few days looking for Zebra and a good Waterbuck which was left on Denny's wish list after his last safari with us in Mozambique (we only get one zebra on quota in Mozambique and have no waterbuck on quota there). Denny took a beautiful Zebra stallion in the next few days. On the 6th day of the safari after looking at about 40 different waterbuck bulls in one afternoon we selected a nice bull and took aim. Unfortunately the shot was a little off and the bull was lost in the long grass. We tracked it for, but were un-successful in finding it. Needless to say Denny was still very happy with his safari and we are looking foward to having him back for his scheduled buffalo and leopard hunt in May of 2014.

Nice Bull.

The gun looks like a Remington 1100. Did you use slugs or just a full tube of skeet loads?.
