Has anyone hunted with SSG Safaris this year? I would be very interested in hearing about it.

While hunting last week Gary Duckworth and I spoke at some length about Nixon and his operation. Gary was of the opinion that Nixon has a very good concession with a lot of oppotunity or potential. I believe he also thought he was a good hunter.

SBT, his son Chad and I leave October 25th for a 12 day hunt with Nixon. Several people that post on AR have hunted with him. One or two within the last couple or three months. I will have to do a bit of thinking to recall who they are. You might do a search and find their reports that are posted here.

I am waiting now for Nixon to respond to some of the questions that I have sent to him. He has just returned from hunting, so I hope to hear from him shortly.

Chris, we will be anxious to hear how you do.

Hey, Bob!
I'm not sure-- still in the exploratory stages. Either a buff hunt, which would be my first, or perhaps plainsgame, particularly if he has sable on offer. I had been planning another Namibia plainsgame hunt next year, with Shona this time, but economic developments (furloughs of state employees) have put that on hold. So now I'm exploring possibilities for 2011. I would love to go back to Namibia, but Nixon's outfit sounds pretty interesting too.
