So we finished the last hunt at Munya for 2014. The time has come to pack away all the kit for the rain season.
This is alway a sad time. But now we can start looking forward to next year and dream of what it will bring us.

Considering we only got our final quota in June we had a really good year with some successful hunts.. We learned a lot of new things. Good and bad.

Our wildlife is doing very well and we have the Poaching under control for now. But as the rains start the poaching should be on the rise. But we will be ready for them when they pull in!

Some of you will have seen the photos of the hunts but I will add them again for those who haven't!

The first hunt was with a friend of mine from Denmark who I owed some stuff for some work he did for me some years back

Rune used a Mathews Monster 70# with 650 grain arrows and Slick trick heads.







Then came Andrey who used a Blazer 416. And it shot very well!















Then I had Danish Erling who hunted with his CZ 375 with a much hated muzzle break







Then Miko who needs no intro. This was his second trip to Munya-







Then came more friends of ours. Heine and Doug from Lusaka. We made a swap where they built the roof on the community school we built for a hunt. This worked well for all.

It is a bit of a different experience with these guys as they come mostly to eat as much of the funny parts of game as possible. They are both brilliant cooks. This time I was introduced to KUDU sinew stew. I couldn't believe it but tasty and tender when done right!





Then came the Aussie. This was the first time for me to guide a big game bow hunt. I didn't expect much I must say but it turned out great. Greg was was a great shot with his bow and was not scared to take difficult shots which made all the difference.

Greg was shooting a Mathews Monster 80# with a 650 grain thin arrow tipped with VPA two blade head. This is a beast of a bow!











The the last hunt with Don. Really great guy and good shot with his Winchester 416. He got a heck of a deal on this hunt!
We finished this hunt in 4 days. So we organised a quick trip to Lower Zambezi for some tiger fishing. Will need to get the photos off Don of the Tigers.

Beautiful trophies and I think you deserve a lot of credit for the game being as good as it is. When Andrew and I first talked about Munyamadzi he was not sure if the area would support dedicated buffalo hunts. Your results for the year certainly reflect good buffalo as well many other good trophies. Congratulations!

The Luangwa has been very good to me and my clients. I'm glad to see you operating there while the GMA's are still in a state of suspended animation.

It is a very nice feeling of satisfaction when I see how the wildlife numbers are growing.

And I take joy in the fact that it is funds from hunting that is helping. If the world could just see the logic!
