DATE: June 30 - July 8

LOCATION: RSA, Limpopo Province about 1 hour from Warmbaths. Garry hunts primarily in Botswana, Mkuze park, Borakalalo park, and other properties depending on species.



Borakalalo is surrounded by mountains with a large lake in the middle making a great setting to hunt in.

WEATHER: Typical Limpopo winter, 40's at night and 60's during the day. This year we did run into a hour long rain, but that was the exception.

TRAVEL AGENT: Shawn at Gracey. Took 2 hours to obtain luggage in Atlanta, it ended up being left outside in the rain for that time before showing up on the conveyor. Per the norm I was slated to sit upstairs in the bulk head and the week before was reassigned at SAA's whim. Ended up getting back in the upper deck and the now 19 hour or so flight went without incident. On leaving Atlanta, it was our pilots last flight before retirement so we were sent off with a good blast of water from the fire trucks. Had a slight incident on the return trip with a couple in my seat. I guess they had decided that the bulkhead looked good and were already seated there before I borded. SAA, attendents asked if I would let them be and take a seat downstairs, I can't believe they even asked me that? Any way, I was able to obtain my seat and had an uneventful flight home.

SUMMARY: All in all a great trip! I've become very friendly with the Kelly family over the last couple years and it is now more like visiting relatives then a client relationship.
