Hi there, I would love to know about gun stores in Africa, as I'm curious about what guns they got and their prices and whether they got local products. Either, e-mail or websites would be very well appreciated. I found some in RSA but not even one in any other country in all the continent. I hope you could help me!

I have been in two gunshops cant remember their names as they both were rather basic. Cry 'Havoc,' and let slip the dogs of war; That this foul deed shall smell above the earth With carrion men, groaning for burial.

Basically there aren't any retail arms dealers outside of the Anglophone countries of Southern Africa. You will find in a few Francophone countries a "gun" store with .22lr and 12 gauge cartridges and maybe from time to time a Russian shotgun or maybe a Czech rifle in 22lr, outside of their airgun line. Africa is a wasteland for both working and fine guns. South Africa, perhaps Namibia, are the exceptions. _________________________________ AR, where the hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history become the nattering nabobs of negativisim.

First of all, thank you for your replies! To begin with, whatever they have is what I'm looking for, so those basic stores are what I want to know about. Although it would be helpful to be able to visit (e-mail / websites) those sources in RSA and Namibia Wink mentioned before. I didn't knew they produced air guns, what brands are being manufatured over there? I'm not planning to spent my vacations there visiting small gunstores, but I would love to talk (e-mail...) and see (websites) what they offer. It's more a curiosity of mine than anything else. Have fun y'all!

I have been into shops in SA and some have quite a few rifles (50+) however now that the gun laws have changed many shops are going out of business. It takes several years for a SA Resident to get the necessary permits to buy a gun now and they are limited to how many they can own. Last year while there I noteced that there were a lot of guns for sale from private owners and some were at very good prices. I guess they were trying to sell them prior to having to turn them into the police to be destroyed. ****************************************************************** R. Thank you! Fortunately, there is plenty of info about SA about their RKBA, ... I think that's the only african country with such data available (gun stores, shooters, ...). On the other side, I found virtually no information of countries I thought where developed (Morocco, Lybia, Ghana ...).

I believe there is one gunshop left in Nairobi; owned by an Indian. Would anybody have more specific information on Kenya? Carcano -- "Those who sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither." I went to this shop in May 04 and it was as good a shop as you would want. http://www.sabirifles.co.za/Default.htm "I ask, sir, what is the Militia? It is the whole people.
