This past July I had occasion to go on my first African Safari. It was Jan Oelofse Safaris of Namibia. I took 10 animals in 10 days including a really nice gemsbok. My PH was Rudie also othe PH's are Steeve and Naphtali whom I have hard some great things about. Headquarters consist of very nicely furnished rooms and the food is outstanding. Check them out if you're going to the SCI convention in Reno. They aslways have an exhibit adn are contributors to the award banquet. 7mm. guy

Glad you had a great hunt. I made my first Safari with Jan Oelofse, and Steve Tors was my P.H., and Naphtali was our tracker at the time. Now, the bad news......you won't be able to stop at 1 Safari. Smiler

Sounds like you had a very successful hunt. I am also very proud of my gems. What other animals did you take on your hunt.

Other game taken were impala, Kudu, warthog, springbuck, Blesbuck, waterbuck, blue and black wildabeasts and hartabeast. I think all, but the kudu made SCI book, missed my chance on a really nice one. Having some problems posting pictures, but here is there website address. http://www.janoelofsesafaris.com
