When you have booked a hunt in Namibia. Please make sure that the Outfitter mails you an invitation as well as a copy of your permit.
They will ask for it at the airport when you recieve you weapon.

Since when? I've traveled to nam over 10 times with firearms for hunting and have yet to have this happen?

It is a new requirement. Started this September. I was there in early Sept. and it had just started.

i just got back last week from an ele hunt in the Caprivi. we drove into Namibia from Bots at the Ngoma border crossing. no one asked for anything- fill out the form, stamp your passport and away you go. i wasn't traveling with a gun, though.

They may and may not ask but we have had a hunter who was stuck as a result of the new rule.The regulation was put in place about a month ago after they broke into NAPHA offices and privitized numerous articles.
