Sitting in Douala airport on my way back to Durban, South Africa. I've just finished hunting with PH Guav Johnson in Mayo Oldiri's Mayo Nduell camp for the past 10 days.
The area has abundant game and I was fortunate to take my Lord Derby Eland on day 1. Add to this a Kob on day 2, a Western Hartebeest on Day 3, A Roan on Day 6 and a Buffalo and Bushbuck on Day 7. Overall a brilliant experience.
Full report and pictures to follow once the dust has settled at work.
Look forward to the report... I may miss it though, headed to Cameroon this Saturday for LDE with Safaris Chelet. I will make a point to read it when I get back...
On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch... Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son! - Rudyard Kipling

You will have a great hunt. A LDE hunt, must be one of the best hunts in Africa. Don't forget a head net, some Gatorade and sun cream.

Always glad to hear a fellow hunter had a great time.
Congratulations!!! I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures. Did you go to Yaounde? I was stationed at the US Embassy there in 1985 through 1986 as one of the Marine Security Guards. Lake Nyos was probably the biggest event that happened while I was there.
