Stevie,

I've never hunted with the outfitter you described. I congratulate you and your Dad on a successful safari. regardless of what you killed, just being there was a success. I have made three safaris now and I am already booked for my fourth. Although I have sincerely and completely enjoyed each one, none can compare to the first African safari! Each time I have hunted in a different country but nothing can compare to that first breath of wild African air you breathe in.

If anyone out there is "considering" a safari and is wavering because of the money or some other foolish reason...do what ever you have to do to make your dreams come true. I mortgaged my house to make my first two trips and I don't regret it one bit. Now I'm retired and work a part-time job to make hunting money. Every penny goes toward trip number 4. The only thing that matters is your health! As another site contributor said, "you can borrow money but not time". How true that is, all the money in the world will not do you any good if you don't have your health!

Hunt now and hunt hard. When I die and they put my ashes in a match box, there will be a few people who will miss me. BUT, no one will miss my big ass like I will!!! I ani't going out with a buch of "wish I, could I, or should I on my lips. How many Wells Fargo trucks have you ever seen following a hearse???

New Guy:

We were amazed at the level of service and professionalism that Gordon and his crew provided. Our main PH was Glenn Stockil who was top notch. He knew the area, the game, and all sorts of interesting facts about the flora, fauna and history of the area. Glenn looked out for our every need and was very patient with us when necessary.
I hunted with apprentice PH by the name of Thomas. He took me on long and face paced stalks that were very successful. He wore me out! Thomas was great!
