I hunted with David Tennent, through Jim Hackiewicz (JJHack on many forums.) It was great! David was top notch and an "old African hand." His tracker/assistant, Jacob, was amazing - at least to this first timer - when I wounded my kudu in the shoulder and we had to track it for a couple of miles to recover it.

Jim services made it very simple and easy for this first-timer and my friends. In fact, in Johannesburg, we were out the dooor while others from our flight were still going through "normal" (non-firearms) customs! The accomodations, food, amount of game, staff, etc. were all fantastic! I only took 6 animals, while others in my group took a dozen or so. We saw hundreds of impala and warthogs, dozens of kudu, waterbuck, nyala, etc.

Here are some of my trophies -

I would recommend Jim's services to anyone, but especially to first-timers!

Congratulations! Those are some great looking animals. That warthog is a dandy!

I always try to use enough gun but then sometimes a brainshot works just as good.

The only photos I have of my kudu are on my video camera's memory stick and I haven't learned how to download them yet. I didn't get pictures of the other impala.

Here is Dave Tennent, my PH, and Jacob, with my waterbuck -

Nice job. The color of the impalas hide is beautiful and the warthog is super. Did you have a chance to eat any of the animals you took and which was your favorite to eat.

We had kudu, impala and nyala. I liked the impala the best. We had several kinds of ranch-made sausage, which was made of different meats combined, and it tasted great, too.

I was hunting with Calif Hunter as the East Coast represenative I had a great time and enjoyed wonderful company in camp. Jim ran the camp very efficently and as Rick said from the moment we stepped off the plane we were looked after. I used a 325 wsm for most of my trophies and if i did my part it performed wonderfully. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I do.
