Does the lingering drought in Namibia have anyone concerned about their hunting plans for hunting there for 2014? Hearing it's the worst in last 30 years.

Just got back from NW Namibia - about 2 hours S. of Etosha NP. Been going to the same place for the past 7 years. The lack of grass was the worst we've seen and the worst our PH/Friend has seen in his lifetime and his father too. Both were born and raised on the land - 2nd & 3rd generation. This year they had floods on the northern boarder and two years ago they had record rains and flooding in Windhoek. We are going next year again regardless as every year is different.

The drought has got a firm grip on us. The cattle’s condition is declining day by day and soon we will be able to fax them to the abattoir. Game is still in a fairly good condition but also starting to decline. Most farmers have started culling some of their game, just to save the bit of grazing which is left over. If the rains set in early we should be fine though.
