I was thinking of getting into 50 BMG shooting/reloading and I have a spare Walnut Hill press. Q-Can this press be used for 50 BMG reloading??Thanks.

don't know anything about that press, but you need one with a long enuf stroke and capable to use 1 1/2" diameter dies

Ernie, let me know if you want to re-home that Walnut Hill. I have spent some pleasant hours in Richard Corbin's shop. He's a fine machinist and a real gentleman, as is his brother Dave. There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t. – John Green, author

From the manufacturer's site - in BOLD on their site - "It is not possible to reload 50 BMG cartridges with this press." See http://rceco.com/MN.asp?pg=pro...&specific=81&from=36 As described on their site, it is appropriate for - and they have components to support - swaging .50 BMG projectiles. It works fine for doing 50cal, 50 cal russian and bigger, with a little changing. Super strong.. Mine has short and long setting on the pivot. Use long. and it takes screw in holders like ammomaster. We just use an extension for shell holder to get case to reach. And the long stroke will size case fine and for regular seating die we screw die up and down just a littleto put loaded one in and out. If you have tall seat die that you put bullet in the side works ok to. Ed MZEE WA SIKU
