Actually a friend of mine went P-doggin' out in Nebraska and ended up building a 50BMG to "buck the wind". It may have been an excuse but he can hit a garbage can at a mile with it.

actually i bought my first one for pd's works great but at the ranges we use it for you only get a half an hour or so in the morning before mirage sets in and you can't see the dogs anymore. I'm using a state arms, which seems to be one of the more accurate ones out there. the autos don't seem to have the accuracy necessary for pd's at extended ranges

I own a "Ferret" with a 36" ss barrel, SUB .2
MOA it outshoots the Barrets or any of the semi's out there, its not to expensive either.
The damn wind blew mine over the other day believe it or not and put the nightforce scope off about 20" at 400 yards. This thing can repeat 8" 800 yards easy. (Thats as far as my rangefinder goes)The 1000 yard range here in Phx, Ben Avery, wont allow 50's
