Sorry to bust your bubbles. This video clip was stolen off of a movie called Varmint Safari. It was made by RMVH. Those are chucks being shot with high power center fire rifles (20, 22, 243 cal). Here is a link to the site which also has video footage. http://www.rmvh.com/ Not to mention it is a sever case of copyright infringement.

Ha! I knew it-- those impacts didn't look like what a .50 BMG ought to do to a 100 lb. soft target. No bloomin' way.

Thanks for straightening this one out.

this is a small caliber headshot, a .50 in the shoulder-neck-head area does exactly what you see on the video, especially the Raufoss ammo used by US Forces.
Seems some people in Norway protest against the use of Raufoss ammo...

Impressive photos, do you have more with different calibers?

There were some on a site showing Palestinians who had been shot with saboted .50 in the neck area, head almost detached, missing arm, missing the upper left or right side of torso, the site went offline the same day it was online, I could never retrieve them online and the downloads are lost among GO of stored files somewhere.
There was another site with pictures taken in US, hundreds of pictures of gunshot wounds, rifles, shotguns, handguns wounds..quite gory, lost the URL when my computer crashed.

Are we using Raufoss on soft targets? I've done a (very) little research on the round and wouldn't have thought it would even "activate" on soft targets. From the Raufoss website it looks like the advantage is multiple fragmentations within hardened targets, not like the AP round with the one 400gr. penetrator.

http://www.ogrish.com might have the images you want. it's the most graphic site I know of. I don't even go there any more, so I can't be sure.

Seems that the first batch made under license in US was not well made and even detonated shortly after exiting the barrel.
It contains RDX...

Looks like “Photoshop†ballistics to me gentlemen. Smiler

There is also a video on the internet showing a woman “place kicking†her baby right off her lawn and over her garage roof...and that is about as “real†as these supposed Taliban shots.
