on the 12 of may it came a ban on 50`s here in norway .

Reasons: so civilain wouldnot be able to use multipurpose ammo in it to terrorize the country with, and since its not a good weapon for hunting / is not suitedd for hunting.

500 Jeffrey and 500 A-sq with a long throat will achieve ~75% the velocity of the 50 bmg, and burn 1/2 the powder to get there. Not quite as fun, but it is an option Big Grin

Is there an over abundance of multi purpose ammo about Norway? It can be had here in the U.S. for $30.00 a round.

Thats really F---ed Up! Why would polichickens in Norway give a crap about that double earring wearing faggot has to say in the U.S.? Why would a terrorist want .50 multi purpose rounds when a RPG would work better?

i dont know, but then in the news it has also been about the multi purpose used by the americans against people and the wounds it has created. the goverment cocsists of the labour party, center party, ands tada the socialist left party, all of them was very upset when Keryy lost the election.......

plus they hate the aricans and the israelis and guess who is visting and talking to members of the paries now, two members of HAMAS!!! iam looking forward too the next election, if they sit that long, that is . sorry to the moderator, but i had to get it out. those eho have the rifles ,they find themselves with rifles they cant sell on.

i guess they have been planning the ban a long time, but there was also rumor about a shooting society negoatiating about getting us better rights if the 50 was dropped. but i have a chance too shoot one and that is since iam in the Norwegian National guard to be a counter sniper, they use the 50 aswell as other rifles.

mr rigby,I would be surprised if the multi purpose rounds would even work on soft targets such as humans. My guess is that they need something hard to set off the explosive charge.

The whole world pretty much hates America. The fact that Hamas is visiting Norway is very bad. I had plans of one day visiting Sweden, Findland and Norway. With what you are saying about Norway I would probly avoid you'all.

I can relate to the ban in some ways as my gun club banned them because they are to destuctive to the burms. My thinking is the U.S. will ban them as well one day. My hope is they granfather the ones out in private hands,or turn them into destructive devices that require an additional permit.

Are they going to allow the owners to export their .50 out of the country? Or do a buy back program?

i dont know about exports or so , but there is many who likes the americans, unfortunately they are in the opposition in the parliament as everywhere. But we have some friends of you, the paratroopers, our navy seals, and our socom who has been in Afghanistan and helping out aswell as other soldiers. but our pm went to elction to get the officers in Iraq back home, and he couldnt understand why Bush was upset about it. its total bananas and i hope it will be better.

A Friend of mine who is a retired MARINE (USMC)Officer has trained with Norwegian Military and has a high degree of respect for their Professional Competence and abilities.

While I have not been to Norway, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Copenhagen and the gardens there.

PS: While the .50BMG is a great round, the .408 CheyTac is my current favorite heavy sniper round with much to recommend it! Long range round without the blast of BMG. Shown with J40 Lost River Pellet.

.408 Chey-TAC (brass) with .338 Lapua (nickle)for comparison and bullets for each.

50 BMG, 408 C-T, 338 Lapua

its allright to go to Norway for a holliday. one fine way is Hurtiggruta, a cruiseship fleet that travel up the coastline to Nortcape and back or a tour to Spitsbergen And Svalbard.

i net many Marines when i served in the Army and they were good guys. the 408 is fine , but its a liitle out of my economical league just now. but what about the 416 barret which is a trimmed down 50 cal and necked down to 416.

Europe still has it's collective head up it's a** about terrorism and militant Islam. They won't be bargined with and they won't be stopped until people see it for what it is. It is an all out assault on western civilization by 6th century fanatics.
