I am looking for a bolt action that is magazine fed for the 50 BMG. The goal is a super short magnum for 338 with a 3500 fps target with a match grade 300 grn slug using the 50 BMG case. Who makes these actions?

You wont need a case that big to get there. You could do it with a necked down 408 Cheytac case. Kirby Allen makes them. My 338/378 Wby with a 29" bbl will get to 3000 fps. Hypothetically you'd be able to get nearly 3500 fps. with about a 34-35 inch barrel. It wouldn't take a case with that much more capacity to be able to do it in a shorter bbl. The 408 case should get you there with ease in a 34" barrel... in theory of course.

Nay Sayers abound, yet the mind is mightier than the sword. I.e. … 50†tube + triplex load worked up from a duplex load and some real slow powder = ZING. I have half a mind to try it! Barrel life 20 shots

Talbot made a 338-50. Shortened the case
for better expansion ratio. You just take a
50 bmg spotter case(3" long same diameter base
as regular 50 cal), and neck it down.
